Comet NEOWISE sets over the Big Hole Mountains on Monday evening in Teton Valley, Idaho. The comet was discovered on March 27 by astronomers using the NEOWISE space telescope, but has only recently become bright enough to see with the naked eye. The comet will be visible about an hour and a half after sunset as a faint smear of light near the horizon in the north-northwestern sky through most of July. Binoculars will help skywatchers view the comet’s impressive tail.
