Deryl Miles, center, runs from Gillette Police Sgt. Mark Ziska, left, and officer John Lawrence in the front yard of his home on Elm Avenue. Miles allegedly had taken his neighbor's cat hostage because he said it was trespassing. He led police on a short chase after refusing to surrender the animal, which he had trapped in a shed behind his house.
