Elk on East Gros Ventre Butte

A group of bull elk hangs out on East Gros Ventre Butte above Spring Gulch in early January. About a third of the elk population that winters on the National Elk Refuge live between Moose and Wilson, and this year's mild weather in early winter delayed their migration.
