Idaho Fish and Game officials persue a herd of elk during a capture and collaring operation in mid-January. The effort was part of a study of the Targhee Elk Herd in eastern Idaho, the last to be documented in a decades-long study of elk herd migrations in the Greater Yellowstone Region.
