Eric Bresseler and John Fitzgerald remove ropes and cables from the passive microwave repeater on Mt. Glory after bringing down the structure Tuesday morning. Bresseler's company, Alpine Infrastructure, was contracted by the Caribou-Targhee National Forest to remove the repeater, which had been deemed unsafe from a lack of upkeep. Go to jhnewsandguide.com for a video of the toppling of the structure, which for decades greeted backcountry skiers and snowboarders ascending the mountain. In the coming days, the footings will be broken down, and the structure itself will be prepared to be flown off the mountain, which is scheduled to occur before the end of the month.
