Bridger-Teton National Forest avalanche forecaster Bob Comey digs out the Rendezvous Bowl study plot at Jackson Hole Mountain Resort on a blustery day in early March. The study plot had set a snow-depth record for that point in the season, and forecasters had to dig out and modify the weather stations to accommodate for snow that was burying their instruments.
