Comet C/2023 A3, also known as Tsuchinshan–Atlas, sets over the Big Hole Mountains on Monday evening. The comet, which is just over a mile wide with a tail of more than 18 miles, will be visible above the western horizon about an hour aftersunset for the next few nights as it hurtles back into the outer reaches of the solar system, not to return for 80,000 years.
