Rich Greenwood, 29-year owner and operator of the Teton County GIS, recently decided to end his contract with the county after he felt threatened by a potential lawsuit by a landowner that named himself, the county clerk and county attorney. The claim was an escalation of a disagreement over how one downtown property had been recorded on the GIS, which has a disclaimer that it is not a formal legal documentation site. That lawsuit threat was called off Friday.
