The Inner Park Loop Road in Grand Teton National Park is plowed and almost entirely free from snow, except for shaded portions of the Jenny Lake Loop, which is still wet in several areas. Park officials were able to clear the road earlier than usual this spring due to a shallow snow pack on the valley floor; last year's plowing efforts took several days and the road didn't open until about the second week in April. Much-anticipated among locals, the opening of the Inner Park Loop in the spring gives cyclists and pedestrians open access to the road free of cars for the month of April.
